Why I’m starting this blog

When I decided to start staying home full time with my oldest daughter two years ago, one of my biggest fears was that I was going to lose my sense of self. I am more than a mother. I am more than a wife. I am my own person with my own interests and dreams. I haven’t been taking care of those much lately, especially since my youngest was born six months ago. I am hopeful that this blog will help make my own well-being a higher priority in my life. In other words, I am hopeful that it will motivate me to take a little time for myself every week to do what I love to do and miss doing. I love to make and create, and I’m looking forwarding to sharing that with my readers. I am also really excited to connect with other crafty people/moms like me out there. I hope you will join me as I find my way on this journey.

There will be craftiness in the near future, but for now here are some mouthwatering pictures I took on a recent berry picking adventure.

Oh how I wish I knew how to make jam. Add it to the never ending to-do list!

  1. Yay!!!! You did it! You know I think that deep down this is also the reason why I started my blog. It's so easy to forget who we are when we become someone's mommy. Ever since I started blogging I feel like parts of me are coming back and I'm actually making time for myself (and not feeling guilty!). I think this makes me a better wife and mommy. So excited to share this journey with you!! If no one else reads our blogs at least we'll have each other :-)
