We brought home 15 gourds (a.k.a. mini pumpkins)...
The white gourds are going indoors, but I lined up all of the orange gourds along the stone wall behind our house...
We also picked up five mums: one purple, two red, and two orange...
And for as long as I can remember I have wanted to buy cornstalks to put up somewhere in the yard. This year I finally did it!
Beautiful? Yes. Fire hazard? Maybe.
A couple of weeks ago I switched out the wreath on the front door.
I saw a bittersweet wreath in Martha Stewart Living magazine a few years ago and decided I had to have one. I made this wreath using bunches of fake bittersweet tied onto a metal wreath form.
That's also the acorn doorknocker I mentioned here. Now we are all decked out for fall!
We had so much fun picking out plants and gourds. My three year old was so excited and jumped up and down when she spotted the white gourds that I told her I was looking for. We've made this trip together for the last three years, and I'm hoping it's a tradition that the girls will look forward to as much as I do every year.
Thanks for stopping by today! I'm working on a new printable that I'm hoping to post on Friday, so be on the look out for that.

Love the corn stalks! My yard isn't set up to do anything like that. I need to get to the nursery for some mini pumpkins too! What a great idea to make it a family trip!!
