First up is the Runaround Bag from Anna at Noodlehead. I need three of these, but I'm making four because I really want one, too!
Next is the Fat Quarter Apron from Prudent Baby. This is a simple and cute project that can be changed up and customized for your gift recipient. I'm making two of these.
I also need to make a camera strap cover. There are tons of tutorials out there on this, but I'm going with Cheryl's over at a pretty cool life. I like that she uses fusible fleece. I need to make one of these.
I may be crazy, but I'm also going to try to put together eight I Spy Bags! Yes, e-i-g-h-t! I'm going to be using Jess's tutorial over at Craftiness is not Optional.
I love these quilted coasters from 33 Shades of Green. I'm planning on making two sets of these (and hopefully a third set for myself after Christmas).
I'm going to stop here for now because frankly, there's no way I'm going to get all of this done. There are about six other projects that I'd like to make if I can get to them. If I do, I'll post links to those tutorials, too.
Thanks for stopping by today! Hopefully you found something on this list that you can make for a friend or family member this holiday season. I'll let you know how many of these projects I actually get through!
I've just decided what I'm making for four of the older ladies in my life. I just need to find a simple throw quilt/blanket pattern. My mother-in-law and my husband's grandmothers will get those. I want something really simple and then I think I'm going to back them with flannel or fleece. You know how cold old people get. ha ha
ReplyDeleteThose coasters, I saw those too and am planning to make some for my grandmother.
I love that bag, I would love to see yours when finished. I am intrigued by the I Spy Bags and will have to check them out and I also love the look of the covered notebook. Good luck with making them all!
ReplyDeleteGreat ideas! I'd love one of those bags (hint, hint!)
ReplyDeleteI like your idea of organizing your projects- I need to do this.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great list! Your list seems reasonable to me... at least compared with my own completely impossible list of huge projects that I have yet to start on... :) Good luck with yours!
ReplyDeletegreat ideas!! do you have any men on your list? I am having a HECK of a time finding homemade gifts for me.
ReplyDeleteThat's quite a list Gwen, but I know you can do it! And think what satisfaction you'll have seeing all those goodies wrapped under the tree! I have made the I spy bags before, they're not too bad. We used fleece too and didn't even finish the edges, which simplified it a lot. I also made my window much larger. We hadn't heard of those pellets before, so we just used rice. It's about 6 or 7 years old now, but my baby loves it so we'll hang on to it a bit longer! (I used a lot of the shaped buttons you can find at craft stores, since you're making so many that might be a good fit for you too.)
ReplyDeletewow very ambitious! good luck! :D
ReplyDeleteyay! you do have a nice list going. At least you have one (I don't!). You'll have some happy friends/family on your hands. :)
ReplyDeleteYou are going to be pretty busy between now and Christmas! Thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving the nice comment!
ReplyDeleteWow! That's quite a to-do list you've given yourself - but all completely gorgeous!!

ReplyDeleteThose are great projects. You will be one busy lady for the next few weeks! I love the coasters and bag. And I bet those I spy bags keep kiddos occupied in the car :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my blog and your kind comments. :) I did sell the Peace pillow, but can always make more. :) I am loving your list esp. the runaround bag; I love bags. I just wish I had more time to spend sewing.

ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing
Diana
phew! reading your list has me stressed out...only because I feel so behind. I'm sure you'll have no problem getting it done and then some. :-) I love all the gifts you are making. 8 I spy bags! Wow! The one I made had a bigger window like Amy said. It was pretty easy. Just don't fill them too full or you will never get them sewn shut!
