For my sister...
The Noodlehead Runaround Bag in brown and pink. I love this fabric and this color combination. The bag is beautiful. I love how it turned out. Some of the best sewing I've ever done.
It looks like I knew what I was doing. It better. It took me twelve hours to make it. Twelve. That is not an exaggeration. And it has nothing to do with Anna's pattern... which has superb instructions and fantastic pictures (I highly recommend it). I have come to the conclusion that I am just the slowest sewer ever.
I also made her a matching zipper pouch...
And a camera strap cover (using Cheryl's tutorial over at a pretty cool life)...
For my niece and nephew, iSpy bags (based on Jess's tutorial over at Craftiness is not Optional)...
And cocoa cozies...
So I have been busy, but I couldn't share any of it with you until now. If you recall my ambitious handmade Christmas gift list, I actually did pretty well! It only took me an extra five weeks to almost get through it.
Have a great weekend everyone!

Wow, what a beautiful bag and handmade goodies. That is a perfect-sized tote. What I have learned with sewing is that the swiftest does not win the race. My finest projects are not my fastest ones, you know what I mean? Great job on all of these.
What a gorgeous bag. I want it right now!!!
I'm going to have a li'l look at the pattern.
Have a fab day, missy...and hope next week is BRILLIANT!

Better late than never! You did fab on those handmade gifts. Those are always my favorite...made by hand and filled with love.
Your version of the Runaround bag is just brilliant, Gwen! The twelve hours were definitely worth it. I do think I'd give you a run for your money on the slowest sewist though. Pretty sure! I'm darn slow.
You've done amazingly well with your list from what I can see. And the fact that you didn't just let it totally drop as time progressed is a testament to your stick-to-it-iveness. Way to go!
gorgeous bag! and all the other goodies of course, I have a soft spot for those i spy bags. :D
What fun gifts! I'm so glad you plowed through them- and I'm sure the recipients are just as glad too!
Have a great weekend!
xoxo,
Amy
Love, love, love the bag! I'm not traditionally a pink fan, but with the brown and that pattern...the fabric is lovely!
I love it all!!! What a luck family you have to receive such lovely gifts. Can you adopt me? :)
So many pretty gifts! I'm sure they will be loved.
Everything looks great! And I adore the bag! The pattern is one of my faves (love that tuck at the top) and the fabric you picked is fantastic.
What beautiful gifts! Great job! :)
The gifts look great! We are more a like then I already thought...I would have done the same thing and waited to make them. When I get more time to do something I still procrastinate!
Lovely gifts! You did great and I'm sure your gifts were very much appreciated. Love the fabrics you used for the runaround bag
Maybe the break did you good...your sewing is beautiful. Maybe I need a break...got started on an apron yesterday and I don't think it is near my best...things just went a bit wonky! I haven't touched the machine today.
Hi! I've certainly enjoyed looking at your wonderful projects! I'm a new follower...hope you can visit at http://www.lorihairston.blogspot.com
Those were gifts worth taking the time to make! Bet it was nice to create without the rush and bustle of the holidays.
You are so talented!!!!
