First, Jackie and Jodi over at Sisters in Stitches. Make sure you check out their beautiful quilts and great sewing projects!
Second, Jen from Frame Fanatic. Stop over at her blog to see her adorable painted and embellished frame projects!
Thanks so much ladies! I'm honored. Of course there are rules that go along with these awards, but since there is no award police, I'm going to do what I want. One award called for listing 8 facts about myself and passing the award on to 8 bloggers. The other wanted 7 facts and 15 bloggers. In addition, Amy from Increasingly Domestic (Hi, Amy!!!) tagged me to list 15 random facts about myself quite a few weeks ago. So I'm going to average everything out, share 10 random facts about myself and just ask that you please check out Jackie, Jodi, Jen, and Amy's blogs. How's that? OK, good:)
Here we go...
- I hate spiders. I want nothing to do with them. If they all died, I'd be OK with that.
- I'll tell you my favorite movie is the Sound of Music, but given the choice between watching that and 10 Things I Hate About You, I'm going with Heath Ledger. Sorry Julie Andrews. I still love you, though.
- My favorite meal is beef stroganoff. Hold the mushrooms.
- I am the oldest of my parents' three children but my daughters are the youngest of their five grandchildren.
- I won a Ben and Jerry's Peace Pop for winning a contest to write our school song in eighth grade.
- I don't like pancakes. Or real maple syrup. Having been born and raised in Vermont, that's sacrilegious.
- As my husband and I walked out after our wedding ceremony, a harpist played Linus and Lucy (the Peanuts theme song).
- I am a major klutz. I frequently run into the wall when I'm walking along. You can laugh. I'm used to it.
- I am always cold. My normal body temperature is 97 degrees.
- I don't eat anything that lives in the water. No fish, no seafood.
There you have it. More than you ever wanted to know about me!
Have a great weekend!

This was hilarious (at least some point were) and I am glad I found a bit more about you!
I was just going to say...don't you live in maple country?! LOL I'm a klutz, too. Born with 2 left feet. :) So great learning more about my blog bud!
but if all the spiders died, there'd be alot more of ALL the other kinds of bugs out there.... is this really what you want? really?... :)
Nice getting to know a little more about you, Gwen!
Those were some really fun facts, Gwen! I'm with you on the mushrooms and seafood- blech! Have a great weekend!
xoxo,
Amy
So fun to get to know you better. I agree with spiders, and seafood. I can take mushrooms in moderation.
Thanks for sharing! I am not a fan of the spiders either. BLECH! I like seafood and love mushrooms, sorry. And my mom said she should have named me grace lol! And unfortunately my kids seem to have inherited the same trait. I love that you had the peanuts theme song at your wedding, although i'm not surprised ;-)
I am completely with you on the spiders, but I think that the pancake-syrup thing is sacrilege no matter where you live ;)
loved your 10 things! I am always cold too, I think I am living in the wrong region, I leave my elec. blanket on my bed for as long as I can! :) I love the linus and lucy song; the christmas cd is in my car all the time!
Great to get to know you better, I think it is so great that the Harpist played Linus and Lucy, that's really wonderful.
Pssst there is something in common, Climb Every Mountain.. Broke Back Mountain
I'll be sure to check out those links. Have a great weekend.
Hi Gwen!!!
Oh my gosh! Walking into walls? Really? Ha ha ha! I love it:)
oh dearie me, I used to toss spiders at girls when I was 9. Snakes on the other hand.....
I was always cold too...now I'm at "that" age where I'm warmish (other women sweat grossly but I'm finally just up to normal)
I love that theme too...and on a harp too! Just too beautiful!
fantastic blog, I have add you to my favourites!! your works are really nice
congratulations
Oh my! I like spiders and snakes (actually raised spiders while in college). And mushrooms, seafood not beef though. I am the Queen of klutz, ask any ER Doc, LOL!
Forever cold should be my middle name, always 96 on the nose.
Surrounded with people with a sense of humor, at our wedding a friend played the theme from Mission Impossible! Fourteen years later....we are still working on the mission!
Enjoying your blog, keep it up!
